Goodness how time has flown!

I have been painting for my November art show when I have had time. It has been a bit hard to find the mood because a family member has been diagnosed with a serious disease. Now things look a bit lighter, so I hope I shall have more time for my art. I have some commissions waiting. I need to get on with those. Horses, of course. Oh and I need to update my website too!
And surprise surprise - I shall now start painting a series of angels. Yes, you read right. Angels with wings and all. I shall publish those on my website too. But here is one for you to look at - one I made before. It represents the moment when you realize you meet situations in life you just cannot control - that knowing that the only thing you can do is to surrender and trust that whatever comes, from somewhere you get the strength to go through it. I called this "Surrender"

Jestas että aika lentää!

Olen maalannut marraskuista taidenäyttelyäni varten kun aikaa on löytynyt. On ollut hiukan vaikea keskittyä, koska perheenjäseneni sairastui vakavaan sairauteen. Nyt elämä näyttää hiukan helpommalta, joten toivon että saan lisää aikaa taiteelle. Minulla on muutamia tilaustöitä odottamassa - hevosia, totta kai. Ja pitäisi tuo nettisivukin päivittää!
Ja yllätys yllätys - alan nyt maalata sarjaa enkeleitä. Kyllä, luit oikein. Enkeleitä siipineen päivineen. Julkaisen kuvat myös nettisivuillani. Mutta tässä on yksi aikaisemmin tekemäni enkelimaalaus katsottavaksi. Tämä työ kuvastaa sitä hetkeä, jolloin ymmärtää, että elämässä tulee vastaan tilanteita, joita ei itse voi kontrolloida. Silloin ei voi muuta kuin antaa periksi ja luottaa, että mitä tuleekin, jostain löytää voimaa jatkaa eteenpäin. Annoin maalaukselle nimeksi "Antautuminen".
