Christmas card

To start my blog I´d like to put here the Christmas card I did for the Friends of the University Veterinary Hospital in Helsinki, Finland. I feel very happy at being chosen as the artist for the 2005 Christmas card. All the income from the card go to benefit the horse blood bank. This is acrylics and ink on paper.

I wanted to do a Christmas card without any man-made ornaments. I wanted to convey the true message of Christmas with only the animals: caring, loving, trusting, sharing.

Joulukortti

Aivan aluksi haluaisin laittaa näkyviin joulukortin, jonka tein Yliopistollisen Eläinsairaalan Ystäville. Olen tosi iloinen siitä, että minut valittiin vuoden 2005 joulukortin tekijäksi. Kaikki tulot tästä kortista menevät hevosten veripankin hyväksi. Kyseessä on akryyli- ja mustetyö paperille.

Halusin tehdä joulukortin, jossa ei olisi yhtään ihmisen tekemää koristetta. Halusin välittää joulun todellisen sanoman vain eläinten välityksellä: välittämisen, rakkauden, luottamisen, jakamisen.
